We want to keep it as accurate as possible, but please, do not entirely rely on this list when buying a portable computer. This guide is intended to be a record of how I installed OS X El Capitan on my Lenovo ThinkPad T450s (model 20BXCTO1WW). I have tried to make this guide as self-sufficient as possible, linking to sources where required and providing the required software and tools in this repository. Note: This particular guide is for Lenovo Z50-70 but it works for G50 ad Z40 also because the drivers are pretty the same and work on all. Also, this guide is named for macOS Sierra but it also works great for Mac OS X El Capitan. So first thing is first, You need to have all the requirements before getting started with this particular guide. If that’s the case, click the Utilities menu and, when Disk Utility opens, choose the hard drive you want to install Sierra on and click the Erase tab. Make sure Mac OS Extended (Journaled) is. Please see the discussion page for proper instructions on how to input your system specs. Also, please contribute to the page, which should list a more granular view of compatibility. If your computer isn't listed, you should try it if you have a SSE2 or higher processor. Use vanilla kernel if it is supported. • ONLY add hardware that you have TESTED. Don't add hardware just because you think it might work. • Please add hardware into tables. • This is for 10.6.4 builds only. QE • Install Method: Mac OSX Snow Leopard Retail DVD 10.6.0. • OSX Version: 10.6.4; Darwin Kernel From 10.6.0 Ok, or modified kernel. • CPU: Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz. • Chipset: GMA 950. • Graphic card: GPU Intel, Built-In 64 of Shared system Memory, 1024x600 Resolution, 32-Bit Color. • RAM: 2 GB (1x2) DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz. ![]() • Hard disk: 160GB. • LAN: Realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E - Works Fine. Bypass proxy server download softwares for hacking. • touchpad: OK: But the sensibility for tap to click doesn't fine. • Sound: HDA - Works with VoodooHDA.kext Builtin speake, Headphone Out - Works Fine mic, not tested. • Webcam: Internal webcam Works Fine. • Card Reader: Not tested. • Power management: Restart, Shutdown, Battery status icon - Working Fine; Sleep, Wake - Working Fine, but can make a KP. • 3G Huawei: OK, with huawei drivers. But the connexion isn't verry stable. 3G network or driver? • Kext used: Using NetbookInstaller 0.8.3 (this installer for Dell Mini 9 & 10 BUT still working on Wind 123 Series). [] Advent 4401. QE • Install Method: iAtkos s3 V2. • OSX Version: 10.6.4; Darwin Kernel From 10.6.0 Ok, or modified kernel. • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83 Ghz. • Chipset: GMA 965. • Graphic card: Intel GMAX3100 fully working with QE/CI using Natit, GMA x3100 and AsereBln bootloader options. • RAM: 2 GB (1x2) DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz. • Hard disk: 160GB. • LAN: Realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E - Works Fine. • Wireless: Origanally intel 3945abg not working, changed to broadcom 4311 which works natively. • Keyboard: OK. ![]() • touchpad: OK including tap clicking and multi finger scrolling. • Sound: HDA - Works with VoodooHDA.kext Builtin speake, Headphone Out - Works Fine mic, not tested. • Webcam: Internal webcam Works Fine. • Card Reader: Not working. • Power management: Restart, Shutdown - working. QE • Install Method: Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD made by Hazard (Update bios to v3810) • update to 10.6.4 (Using this ) • OSX Version: 10.6.4; Modified kernel (Legacy Kernel). • CPU: Intel Pentium Dual Core T3400 @ 2.16 MHZ (Use legacy kernel) • Chipset: PM 945. • Graphic card: Nvidia 9300M, 1440x900 Resolution, 32-Bit Color. (Graphics Enabler) • RAM: 4 GB (2x2) DDR2 SDRAM 667 MHz. • Hard disk: 500GB. • LAN: Broadcom Corporation BCM5764M Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (Not Working) • Wireless: Atheros AR928X (Not Working) • Bluetooth: None • Keyboard: OK. • touchpad: OK • Sound: HDA - Works with VoodooHDA.kext Builtin speaker, Headphone Out - Works Fine, mic, not tested. • Webcam: Internal Webcam works fine. • Card Reader: Not tested.
